Nine Eleven After Ten War-Torn Years

Today, 9/11/11, we look back at the events of 9/11/01; those life-changing scenes of horrible terrorist's destruction are still very fresh in our minds. Most of all, we remember the people whose lives were changed forever on that never to be forgotten day. We can all remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when the Twin Towers, and the lives of most of the people within them, collapsed right before our eyes.
Later, after the dust had settled, two very powerful searchlights were put in place to emulate the grandeur of those inspiring towers and now, those twin lights have become a spectacular, awe inspiring memorial to all the lives lost as the Twin Towers crumbled and fell to the ground.
Soon after the fall of the Twin Towers, we were engaged in a war against the terrorists in Iraq and now that war has continued to be fought in Afghanistan with the loss of many more American lives.
Just as the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 awakened the sleeping giant that is the United States Of America, and led us to absolute victory in World War II, so too, the attack on the Twin Towers again prodded this peace loving nation into action. During these past ten years of war since 9/11, against terrororists whose worldwide aim is to deprive as many people as possible of their God given human rights and freedoms, the terrorists are now being soundly defeated on all fronts.
The men and women who were lost in the fall of the Twin Towers as well as those who are in our armed forces now are the "cream of the crop" and we mourn the loss of all those who have fallen in this much prolonged fight against terrorism's threat to freedom everywhere. The patriotism of those lost men and women as well as those who bravely continue to serve today are to be remembered and honored with patriotic pride during this the tenth anniversary of the fall of the Twin Towers.
Do you remember the spontaneous show of American patriotism, with the Stars and Stripes flying everywhere - all over the USA after 9/11? Let's resurrect and continue to display that same kind of patriotism on this day as we remember and witness again - the lighting of the Twin Towers Lights.
Remember, those spectacular awe inspiring shafts of light are directed toward Heaven where God lives as our eternal source of strength against all enemies of freedom - worldwide.
